Public call for internship at Humanitarian Law Center Kosovo

Humanitarian Law Center Kosovo (HLCK) invites all students (third and fourth year of study) of the University of Pristina, Faculty of Law (public and private college), to apply for an internship for monitoring war crime trails in Kosovo. The duration of the internship will be from three (3) to six (6) months.

During the internship period, students will have opportunities to monitor the court session of war crime trials in Kosovo in front of Kosovo Specialist Chambers, as well as learn more about transitional justice process through the work of HLCK.

This activity is part of the Project “Monitoring the Work and court sessions of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers and Specialist Prosecutor’s Office and Inclusion of Youth in Justice Sector” is funded by German Federal Foreign Office through the German Embassy in Pristina.

HLC Kosovo will cover the costs of students who will be engaged in monitoring these hearings.

Criteria for the selection of the candidates:

  • Students must be in third or fourth year of bachelor studies in the Faculty of Law, although students in the last year of studies profiled in the Criminal Law or International Law will be prioritized;
  • The student must have completed the exams of Criminal Law and the Criminal Procedure Law;
  • The average grade should be above 7.5;
  • Knowledge of Serbian and English language is an advantage;
  • Students who have not attended any internships until now, as well as students from different communities living in Kosovo are encouraged to apply.
