27.01.2020, 15:11

After Kamenica and Gjilan the exhibition ‘ICTY: The Kosovo Case 1998-1999’ was opened today in the city of Peja. The exhibition will remain open for 5 days from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m and presents how the crimes committed in Kosovo were investigated, reconstructed and prosecuted by the ICTY.

Nine video segments with a total duration of 97 minutes provide evidence on: the failed negotiations and the beginning of the conflict in Kosovo; the challenges that ICTY faced while investigating crimes committed against Kosovo Albanians; and the pattern of crimes explained by the survivors and eye witnesses of mass murders. The video evidence reveals how the crimes were hidden and how the bodies of victims were transported in mass graves.

Videos also show the findings of ICTY judgements in cases against the Serbian political, military and police leadership in joint criminal enterprise, as well as crimes committed in the KLA zones of responsibility.

The exhibition in Peja was realized in collaboration with ‘Jusuf Gërvalla’ Cinema and supported by the Embassy of Switzerland in Kosovo.
