Yesterday, on June 14, 2023, the exhibition In Sight with photographs by Dashnor Ajeti was opened at the Kosovo Documentation Center. This series of photographs through portraits taken seeks to highlight the stories and narratives of civilian war invalids in Kosovo. The truth of each photographed portrait does not appear easily, it lies somewhere under the skin together with the glass shreds that have remained as indelible signs of the past. It confuses the gaze that no longer has light itself, but becomes a mirror where the sun is reflected. On the prosthesis personalized with a portrait of the survivor as a child. In domestic environments where the shortcomings and difficulties are perhaps more bearable, due to family warmth.
The exhibition In Sight comes as a result of the open call for artistic projects that deal with the past - DwP Creations where through small grants the Humanitarian Law Center Kosovo aims to encourage young artists in the creation of artistic works that deal with the themes of the past . The exhibition will be open every working day at the Documentation Center Kosovo for one month.
